BANGKOK TERMINAL STATIONS

Bangkok has four railway terminal stations. Most long-distance trains depart from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal. Shorter-distance services, including commuter and excursion trains, as well as all trains on the Eastern Line, depart from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong) Station. To travel on the Maeklong Line, you need to take the train from Wongwian Yai Station. The former Southern Line terminal was Thonburi Station. Today, it serves commuter trains to Nakhon Pathom, two trains a day to Kanchanaburi, and a small number of services to destinations on the upper Southern Line.

MAJOR STATIONS ON THE NORTHERN LINE

These are the major stations on the Northern Line between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. The distance is about 750 kilometres, and the fastest train completes the journey in 10 hours and 25 minutes.
